Torino are reportedly close to agreeing a surprise deal with Inter for midfielder Radja Nainggolan.

According to ANSA, Inter are willing to send Nainggolan to Torino on loan and pay half his salary.

The 30-year-old would not have usually been a target for Toro, but the news agency explains they have changed their transfer strategy following Gianluca Petrachi’s exit and in light of possible entry into the Europa League.

Despite the Beneamata spending €24m on the Belgian last summer, in a deal that also saw Nicolo Zaniolo and Davide Santon head to Roma in exchange, he does not fit into Antonio Conte’s plans for next season.

The club also need to balance their books by June 30 and clearing at least some of Nainggolan’s wages their will go towards accomplishing that.
