La Stampa writes today that former Inter and Udinese tactician Stramaccioni is also in the running for the Granata hotseat.
The 40-year-old is currently working for Panathinaikos in Greece and the newspaper believes Toro President Urbano Cairo is evaluating a move and firstly trying to work out what clauses are tying the Italian to the Greek club.
Panathinaikos are currently in third place in the Greek Super League, five points behind AEK in second but a whopping 25 points adrift of leaders and rivals Olympiacos.
