Torino have reportedly held talks to sign West Bromwich Albion’s Kieran Gibbs but have rejected a bid from Nice for Mbaye Niang.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, Torino have targeted Gibbs to replace fellow left-back Antonio Barreca, who joined Monaco earlier in the month.
Coach Walter Mazzarri is said to be a fan of the Englishman from his time in charge of Premier League side Watford.

However, while Toro have discussed a loan with an option to buy for the 28-year-old, Di Marzio’s team warn ‘the decisive thrust’ in negotiations remains outstanding.
Gibbs started his career at Arsenal, making over 200 appearances for the Gunners, before joining West Brom last summer.
He also has 10 caps for England, without representing his country at a major tournament, but could leave the Baggies after their relegation to the second tier.
As for Niang, the site claims Nice’s offer to take the ex-Milan forward on a dry loan has been rejected, just two days after he hinted at a reunion with Mario Balotelli in southern France.
