Torino President Urbano Cairo insists he ‘always believed’ Walter Mazzarri would turn around the club’s fortunes.
Mazzarri’s job was reportedly under threat after four straight defeats, but Sunday’s 1-0 win against Inter marked their third win on the bounce, Adem Ljajic scoring the only goal of the game.
“I’ve always believed in this Coach and this team, even when the results weren’t coming,” Cairo told Corriere di Torino.

“Mazzarri’s doing a great job, now we’re going forward one game at a time. I also believe he can be the Coach who extracts all of Ljajic’s extraordinary potential.”
