Torino won their first pre-season friendly 4-1 against Novara, with Simone Zaza, Andrea Belotti, Jacopo Segre and Simone Edera on target.

Coach Marco Giampaolo wasted no time introducing the new signings in his 4-3-1-2 formation, with Alex Berenguer behind Belotti and Zaza.

Ricardo Rodriguez started at left-back, with Karol Linetty in midfield.

Zaza opened the scoring after seven minutes by pouncing on a defensive error on the edge of the box, then Belotti finished off a Berenguer assist.

Bortolussi got one back for Novara with a header just before half-time, when Toro transformed their XI.

Mergim Vojvoda received his debut after the transfer from Standard Liege, and he provided the assist for Edera’s left-foot strike after a Segre volley.
