Torino are intensifying their pursuit of Atalanta striker Sam Lammers for the January transfer window.

Sky Sport Italia had already stated he was one of the options to reinforce Marco Giampaolo’s side mid-season.

Now Corriere Granata report those talks are stepping up a gear this evening.

The 23-year-old Dutchman cost Atalanta €9m to sign from PSV Eindhoven in September, but he has barely featured so far this season.

Now Corriere Granata report those talks are stepping up a gear this evening.

The 23-year-old Dutchman cost Atalanta €9m to sign from PSV Eindhoven in September, but he has barely featured so far this season.

He has nonetheless managed to score two goals in nine Serie A games, but can’t break into a side that already has Duvan Zapata and Luis Muriel.

Torino would allow Lammers to gain more Serie A experience, and also help Torino break out from the danger zone.
