Torino are interested in signing Ozan Kabak on loan, but Schalke 04 have reportedly rejected the Granata’s opening offer.

Kabak has returned to Germany after a six-month loan spell at Liverpool.

Torino are now interested in securing his services, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Schalke 04 have rejected the Granata’s opening loan offer.

Torino had put €1.5m on the table to sign the 21-year-old on a temporary deal, but that’s still not enough for the Bundesliga side.

According to the report, Torino could make an improved bid in the coming hours.

Kabak was linked with a move to Milan one year ago, but Schalke eventually kept hold of him.

The defender was loaned out to Liverpool in January, but the Turkey international played just 13 games with the Reds, nine in the Premier League and four in the Champions League before returning to Germany.

In the last week of the summer transfer window, Torino could sell both Andrea Belotti and Simone Verdi as Inter are in talks for ‘Il Gallo’ while Genoa are interested in Verdi.
