According to Tuttosport, Torino have been scouting several players in Qatar, including Morocco’s Sofiane Boufal, USMNT’s Timothy Weah and former Sampdoria star Mikkel Damsgaard.

The Granata director Davide Vagnati is in Qatar, where he’s been watching several games live, hoping to identify the reinforcements needed by Torino boss Ivan Juric who has been offered a new contract until June 2025.

Torino President Urbano Cairo has confirmed that Vagnati ‘watched at least 15 games’ and Tuttosport lists the potential target for the Granata.

Morocco and Angers SCO’ Boufal is one of those who impressed Vagnati the most, according to the report, but his €9m price tag could rise in the coming weeks, while his contract expiring in June 2024 means Torino will only sit down with the French club in the summer.

The same goes for USMNT starlet Weah, son of Milan legend George, who is contracted with Lille until 2024 and costs not less than €15m.

Azzedine Ounahi (Morocco),  Junya Ito (Japan, also wanted by Roma), Tajon Buchanan (Canada), Jakub Kaminski (Poland) and Damsgaard (Denmark) have also caught the eye of the Granata.

Damsgaard, a former Sampdoria midfielder, joined Brentford for €15m last summer but has been struggling with playing time in the Premier League and Torino are interested in bringing him back to Italy on a loan deal with an option to buy.
