Torino President Urbano Cairo has seemingly lost all hope of keeping Andrea Belotti and reveals a sensational development. ‘He may well have already signed for another club. He could’ve told us…’
The centre-forward will be a free agent when his contract expires on June 30 and has not clarified his decision on the future.
There is interest from Milan, Napoli, Atalanta and others, although he has hinted that he could pen a new deal with Torino too.
That doesn’t seem to be an idea in President Cairo’s mind, as he gave a very different version of events.
“Belotti may well have already signed for another club,” Cairo told Tuttomercatoweb.
“His contract is running down, from February 1 he was already free to sign for someone else, and in theory he could’ve already done it. He could’ve told us, but there you go…
“I won’t talk about this anymore now.”
Torino are also in the news for defender Gleison Bremer, with Inter the favourites, but also a bidding war expected to break out in the Premier League.
“There is a great deal of interest, including from abroad, but let’s wait for the season to end first.”

He should have sold him for 100m when he had the chance. He never tried to build a competitive team around him. Belotti can be the scorer he was in the right team and coach. v
Would love to see Belotti at a top club, when I see some of the foreign players that end up at the big teams in Italy i just laugh, some of them are god awful, if belotti was called Belotinho he would he been signed by the big teams in Italy ages ago, not enough fans say this in Italy but it’s the truth and i don’t care who it upsets. He was delusional AF when he put 100 mio price tag in Belotti.
Milan did came to ask about him in the past and was ready for 30-40 mio price range.
But there you go…
Belotti has been one of my favorite players. Wherever he lands, I hope he does well. His value is certainly down from what it once was, but watching him play, he seems to give everything he has and conducts himself fairly.
