According to Tuttosport, Torino have opened talks to extend with their coach Ivan Juric who has attracted interest from Nottingham Forest.

The Croatian tactician’s current deal runs out in 2024, but Torino are willing to extend his stay at the club at least until 2025 following the Granata’s convincing results over the last year and a half.

According to Tuttosport, club director Davide Vagnati has offered Juric a new contract.

Juric is one of the most exciting coaches in Italy, and the Turin-based paper reported two weeks ago that Premier League side Nottingham Forest are keeping a close eye on him.

“We are here and working for what is best for Toro. Everything else is just chatter and does not count,” said Juric, commenting on reports linking him with a job in the Premier League.

Torino held Roma to a 1-1 stalemate in the final Serie A match of the year on Sunday, one week after beating Milan 2-1 at the Stadio Grande Torino.

Torino earned 50 points, finishing 10th, in 2021-22 in Juric’s first season at the club. The Granata had escaped relegation in the previous campaign, earning just 37 points, four more than Benevento who were eventually relegated to Serie B.
