Torino are monitoring West Ham’s Nikola Vlasic but will need help from the Hammers to afford his signature.

The Croatia international moved to East London in a €30m deal from CSKA Moscow a year ago but has struggled to justify his price tag, scoring just one goal in 36 appearances in his first season at the club.

According to multiple reports in Italy, the Granata are ready to open talks with West Ham to sign the 24-year-old but would struggle to reach an agreement without help from the Premier League side.

According to La Stampa newspaper, West Ham want at least €27m, while the player’s €4m-a-year salary is unaffordable for Toro.

That’s why the Italian club will try to get the player on loan with an option to buy, with part of his salary paid by West Ham. Vlasic had been targeted by Milan a year ago but eventually signed for West Ham. Torino boss Ivan Juric is an admirer, so the Granata will try to fulfil his desire, although reaching an agreement seems complicated at the moment.

  1. I have no idea how a club like West Ham can throw money like that. 4m for this guy in a club like West Ham is a total nonsense
