Roma and Torino directors held talks over Eldor Shomurodov this morning, but according to Sky Sport Italia, Lille are ready to make an offer to sign the striker on a permanent deal.

The Uzbek striker is not a regular starter under José Mourinho and the Giallorossi are listening to offers for him in January.

Torino director Davide Vagnati met his Roma counterpart Tiago Pinto in Milan this morning. According to Sky Sport Italia, the Granata are looking for a loan deal with an option to buy, which, however, would depend on targets ‘difficult to reach.’

Roma on the other hand, seek a permanent transfer.

“We’ve spoken about many things, including Eldor,” Vagnati admitted in an interview with Sky Sport Italia.

“We are making our assessments and the same goes for Roma who have a lot of parameters to respect, including the Financial Fair play, according to what Pinto says.”

The deal is not expected to be completed anytime soon as Sky Sport Italia adds that Lille, coached by former Giallorossi boss Paulo Fonseca, are also interested in Shomurodov.

The Ligue 1 side are reportedly preparing a bid between €13m-14m to sign the striker on a permanent deal, an offer that Roma would not turn down.
