Torino will have to do without Andrea Belotti for at least two months after he suffered a serious hamstring strain during the defeat to Roma.

The centre-forward had only just returned from a long lay-off caused by an ankle sprain.

He limped off during the loss to Roma at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening, pulling up with what immediately seemed to be a hamstring strain.

Now the tests have confirmed a Grade II tear to the right femoral bicep.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Belotti will be out of action for at least two months, so won’t be back until February.

That also puts him at risk for Italy’s World Cup play-offs against North Macedonia and either Portugal or Turkey in March.

Meanwhile, Torino have also lost defender Koffi Djidji to a Grade I tear to the right long adductor.

There is some positive news for the Granata, as Ricardo Rodriguez has been given the all-clear to resume training with his teammates after picking up an injury on international duty with Switzerland last month.
