Torino are reportedly considering a January swoop for Getafe and Uruguay midfielder Mauro Arambarri.

The Granata have been searching for a midfielder in that mould ever since coach Marco Giampaolo took over in August, but first choice Lucas Torreira left Arsenal for Atletico Madrid instead.

According to Tuttosport, although another attempt will be made for Torreira in January, the more likely candidate is his fellow Uruguayan Arambarri.

The 25-year-old joined Getafe for €2.15m in 2018 and his current contract runs to June 2023.
