Torino are reportedly monitoring Joao Pedro’s situation at Cagliari, hoping to find a way to lure the Brazilian to Turin this summer.

The 28-year-old has impressed since the Rossoblu returned to Serie A and this year he stepped up in remarkable fashion in the absence of Leonardo Pavoletti.

In need of a goalscorer, Joao Pedro was moved further up the pitch to help fill the void and has contributed 16 goals in Serie A, helping the Casteddu to their best start since the Scudetto winners in 1969-70.

The Casteddu’s form has plummeted since Christmas and Torino are, according to Tuttosport, hoping they can lure the attacker to the mainland ahead of next season.

The Granata have identified the former Palermo man as a concrete target to strengthen their team and the report claims they would be ready to sacrifice Simone Zaza in order to convince Rossoblu President Tommaso Giulini.
