According to multiple reports in Italy, Torino are in pole position to sign Cagliari midfielder Nahitan Nandez in January.

The 26-year-old has been linked with many clubs in Italy and Europe over the next few months, including Inter and Tottenham.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, Torino are currently in pole position to secure the player’s services in January and talks between the two clubs are at an advanced stage.

At the same time, Cagliari are interested in Daniele Baselli.

The former Atalanta midfielder sees his contract expire at the end of the season and according to multiple reports, he is close to joining the Sardinians.

Nandez wants to leave in the winter transfer window and Cagliari are aware that nobody will match his €36m release clause, so Torino hope to finalise the deal in the coming days.

  1. That would be a smart move for him + a great buy for Torino. They look exciting all of a sudden, even without Il Gallo Belotti. But with Juric, Pobega, Zima, Brekalo, Praet + the others!’ Seems like their president Urban(o) Cairo(what a great name) is showing some ambition + the fans’ have some enthusiasm again. : )
