Torino are reportedly holding firm on their valuation of Perr Schuurs as Crystal Palace and Liverpool race to agree a deal for the defender.

The Granata received a €35m total offer for the Dutch defender from Roy Hodgson’s side yesterday, the highest offer so far for the 23-year-old. Liverpool’s latest bid is just over €30m.

Torino want at least €40m for Schuurs, who joined the club last year from Ajax for around €9.4m. He shined in his first season in Serie A, quickly standing out under Ivan Juric.

Page nine of today’s Tuttosport details how Torino are planning to fund their summer signings with the proceeds of Schuurs’ sale, so they are not willing to budge from their €40m valuation of the defender.

A compromise of a few million could be reached, but regardless its clear both Crystal Palace and Liverpool will need to bump up their offers a little more if they want to secure the Dutch defender’s signature.

Torino would then like to make moves for West Ham’s Nikola Vlasic, and Hellas Verona duo Josh Doig and Isak Hien.
