While Ivan Ilic turned down a lucrative Olympique Marseille offer to join Torino, his Verona teammate Isak Hien seems to prefer a Premier League move in the summer.

Toro had been on the verge of the double deal when Marseille interrupted for Ilic, sparking a bidding war, but multiple sources are confident the midfielder has chosen the Granata and will have his medical this weekend.

However, Sky Sport Italia, Corriere Granata and others all state that this is not the case for Hien and he seems unlikely to accept the transfer to Turin.

The centre-back just turned 24 and has four senior caps for Sweden under his belt.

He made 16 Serie A appearances so far this season for Verona, but having also played in the Conference League qualifiers for Djurgarden, Hien cannot represent a third club in the same campaign.

So any deal now would have to see him move from July onwards.

It is reported that Hien is leaning more towards potential Premier League bids at the end of the season, so Torino will turn elsewhere.
