Torino doctor Paolo Minafra has left the club over disagreements with coach Ivan Juric.

Minafra was appointed by the Granata one year ago, following Torino director Davide Vagnati from SPAL.

This morning, Torino confirmed that they parted ways with their doctor ‘by mutual agreement,’ thanking him for his work.

According to Tuttosport, Juric’s claims regarding the players’ recovery time are behind the decision.

The Croatian tactician wasn’t on good terms with the medical staff and had publicly criticised them several times over the last few weeks.

When discussing Andrea Belotti’s injury, Juric said: “First they [the doctors] told me one thing, then another one. Now, they can no longer say when Belotti will return. Who knows.”

It wasn’t the only time that Juric aimed a dig at Minafra, who has now decided to leave the club.
