Inter still have hope for Gleison Bremer after meeting with Torino on Monday evening, despite Juventus making a higher offer. ‘We are talking to both clubs,” said Davide Vagnati.

Toro director Vagnati spoke to Sky Sport Italia after having dinner with Inter CEO Beppe Marotta.

“We had dinner, it all went well with Inter, we had a good chat. We’ll see, there’s no rush, the transfer market is still long and we’ll see what happens. We are talking to both Inter and Juventus.”

The Nerazzurri had been the hot favourites for months to get the Brazilian defender, but hesitated too long because they were struggling to sell Milan Skriniar to PSG.

Instead, Juve sent Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich for €80m including add-ons and that put them in a position to make a bigger bid of €35m plus €5m of bonuses.

Inter are refusing to increase the proposal of €30m plus €5m in add-ons and the signature of youth team player Cesare Casadei, albeit with a buy-back option.

According to Sportitalia and Sky Sport Italia, Inter are not to be ruled out entirely for a number of reasons.

Firstly, Torino would prefer not to directly reinforce their bitter city rivals, and of course Bremer has for months pledged himself to Inter.

Meanwhile, the Nerazzurri have seemingly asked for a little more time to get the Skriniar sale sorted and therefore find the money for Bremer.

Another clue is that Torino director Vagnati met with the agent of Casadei this evening, suggesting a potential change in the formula of the transfer, which would make his move to the Granata permanent rather than include a buy-back option for Inter.

The fact Torino met with Casadei’s representatives suggests the Inter proposal is by no means dead in the water.

  1. I have been urging fellow Juventini to be patient and not jump the gun. Mercato is crazy and who would have ever thought Dybala would go to Roma. This is why we should have used Mandragora as a bargaining chip. It would have given us more leverage. If Torino accept a lower offer then so be it. Bad business is still business but that Casadei must be a talent for them to be pondering the proposed offer.
