Torino coach Ivan Juric lost his temper and showed the middle finger to his own fans on Monday night, following a 2-1 win over Sassuolo.
The Granata boss was suspended for a home Serie A game against the Neroverdi so he watched the match from the stands.
Torino had lost the previous two Serie A games and had been eliminated from Coppa Italia at the hands of Frosinone so fans in Curva Maratona criticised the squad before kick-off on Monday.
Torino beat Sassuolo 2-1, but Juric’s frustration emerged after the final whistle as he showed the middle finger to his own fans, as shown in a video aired by DAZN.
“Ivan is very emotive, he wanted to celebrate and that was an emotive reaction,” his assistant Paro explained after the final whistle, as quoted by La Repubblica.
“He cares so much about it and he recharges on the pitch. Staying inside a box behind a window was not helpful.”
Torio currently sit 12th in the Serie A table with 15 points. Juric was appointed as the Granata boss in 2021 and his contract runs out in June 2024.
