Last season Brighi was loaned to Atalanta” data-scaytid=”7″>Atalanta but had a problematic campaign, playing just 11 games before finding himself surplus to requirements upon his return to Rome.

Torino, however, have backed the 31-year-old former Italian international to help them survive in Serie A next season.

It is unclear at this stage whether Brighi will join the Turin-based club on loan or permanently.

The Granata have already had a busy summer, confirming the captures of Jean-Francois Gillet and Matteo Darmian while the arrival of Milan’s Djamel Mesbah seems imminent. Giampiero Ventura’s club have also stressed that Angelo Ogbonna will not be leaving.
