Roma have left Eldor Shomurodov, Jordan Veretout and Carles Perez out of their trip to Israel, amid reports Torino want the Uzbekistan international.

The three players are not believed to be part of coach Jose Mourinho’s plans for the 2022-23 campaign.

Leaving them behind for the friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur further consolidates the idea they are on the transfer market.

While Veretout has been linked with Milan, Juventus and Olympique Marseille, Carles Perez has had talks with Monza, Atalanta and Celta Vigo.

According to the Corriere Granata, Shomurodov has been left out because Roma received an approach from Torino for the striker.

The 27-year-old was purchased from Genoa in the summer of 2021 for €18m plus bonuses, and a 10 per cent cut of any future sell-on fee.

It would likely be a loan deal with option to buy at the end of the season.

Shomurodov contributed five goals and six assists in 40 competitive games for Roma last term.

  1. Bit of a shame he wasn’t given a bigger chance at Roma. Such a great player, but needed constant playing to prove his worth.

    Hope he does well

  2. His performance was good in last season. He can make a goal in every 100 minutes. If you only him 5 minutes per game, he definitely cannot do anything. He is better tham Zaniolo and Gyan.
