There will be an unusual sense of consistency to Serie A, as for the first time in almost 20 years the top eight clubs all confirm their coaches.

The Italian league tends to be a managerial merry-go-round in the summer, but that won’t necessarily be the case this time around, at least not among the most ambitious teams.

Vincenzo Italiano was the last to extend his contract at Fiorentina and he put pen to paper today on a deal until June 2024.

That means all the top eight clubs in Serie A during the 2021-22 campaign will begin the new season with the same coach at the helm.

Milan keep Stefano Pioli, Inter retain Simone Inzaghi, Napoli Luciano Spalletti, Juventus Max Allegri, Lazio Maurizio Sarri, Roma Jose Mourinho and Fiorentina Italiano.

The last time the leading eight sides maintained their tacticians was back in the 2003-04 season.

At that time, Juventus kept Marcello Lippi, Inter Hector Cuper, Milan Carlo Ancelotti, Lazio Roberto Mancini, Parma Cesare Prandelli, Udinese Spalletti, Chievo Gigi Delneri and Roma Fabio Capello.
