Gleison Bremer was the most expensive signing of the summer in Serie A, followed by Charles De Ketelaere and Ederson.

The summer transfer window in Italy closed on Thursday at 19.00 UK time and saw Juventus complete the most expensive summer of the session.

The Bianconeri got Gleison Bremer from their city rivals Torino for €41m after selling Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich for €67m plus €10m add-ons.

Milan‘s De Ketelaere was the second most expensive purchase in Italy with the Bianconeri investing circa €32m to secure his services. The Belgium starlet is followed by new Atalanta signing Ederson, who left Salernitana after just six months for €21m.

Hassane Kamara was also one of the top deals in Serie A. Udinese signed him from Watford for a reported €19m fee, but the 28-year-old has remained on loan in England and will move to Italy in one year to replace Destiny Udogie once he joins Tottenham.

Kim, Rasmus Hojlund, Dodo and Filip Kostic are also among the most expensive signings in Serie A. Check out the most lucrative purchases in Italy over the summer below.

    Nottingham forest bought 21 players in this summer transfer window-spent £185m.

  2. #MOHAMMED Don’t compare Serie A with rich EPL clubs. There is even a £2billion value attached to West Brom, which plays in the second tier of English football, the Championship!!!

  4. Long gone are the days of Italy outspending everyone.

    The epl is the only league spending big now.

    It will probably lead to years of European domination for them – not because they’re particularly great, but because the rest of Europe is struggling so much
