Top 10 Italy players in Serie A Week 1-10: Napoli dominate

Three Napoli stars are in the top 10 for the best Italian players in Serie A in the opening ten rounds, while Inter and Empoli have two each.

Serie A Round 10 is in the history books, and Fantacalcio has published the updated ranking of the league’s top performers.

Fiorentina’s David De Gea has the best average player rating, followed by Italy international Mateo Retegui.

This means that the Atalanta star is the best Azzurri performer in the league in the opening ten rounds.

The Serie A top scorer is followed by Inter’s Nicolò Barella and Napoli keeper Alex Meret.

Napoli are the Serie A table leaders, and three of their players are among the top 10 Italian performers so far.

The others are centre-back Alessandro Buongiorno and right-back Giovanni Di Lorenzo.

Inter and Empoli have two each: Barella and Federico Dimarco for the Nerazzurri, Jacopo Fazzini and Sebastiano Esposito for the Tuscans.

The ranking is based on average player ratings from Italian sports papers considering footballers with at least 50% of league appearances.
