The Rossoblu did a deal for the Chilean on Wednesday after a compromise was eventually reached over terms.

However, according to Sky Sport Italia, Cagliari chief Massimo Cellino is still interested in Juventus striker Toni.

The former Bayern Munich player, 34, will be out of contract in June and is thus available for a nominal fee.

The 2006 World Cup winner joined the Old Lady this time last year from Genoa, but he hasn’t played at all so far this season.
