Luca Toni is happy to be “in history” as the oldest Capocannoniere and will decide his Verona future “soon.”
The 38-year-old scored 22 goals, matching Inter striker Mauro Icardi, and setting a new Serie A record.
“Last year I went close and came second in the Capocannoniere charts, but when I realised this term that I could actually win it, I really wanted to come first,” Toni told the official Verona website.
“My secret is that I enjoy my football, am in good shape and living this experience in a relaxed way.

“I managed to make it into history and I am happy. I’ll continue as long as I enjoy myself. If I won the Capocannoniere charts, it is thanks to my teammates, so I’m trying to decide what present to get them.”
Verona have offered Toni a new contract for 2015-16, but he also has a proposal from the A-League in Australia.
“The President has more important things to think about right now. When he has resolved those issues, we will have a chat and decide if we can continue together or not.”
