Luca Toni will mark his retirement by saluting Bayern Munich fans at the Allianz Arena tomorrow afternoon.

The Verona striker hung up his boots with a Panenka-style penalty in the 2-1 Serie A victory over Juventus last week.

Now Hellas have announced on their club website that Bayern Munich also want to give Toni a final salute to the supporters.

He has been invited to Munich for their last home game of the season against Hannover 96.

His farewell to the fans is part of the protocol for their Bundesliga title celebrations.

Toni turns 39 later this month and wore the Bayern jersey from 2007 to 2010, scoring 58 goals in 89 competitive games.

He won two editions of the Bundesliga, where he was also top scorer with 24 goals in 2007-08, and the German Cup twice too.
