Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli described the refereeing against Frosinone as “outrageous”.
The Tuscan side went down 2-0 at Matusa in tonight’s match, with Coach Marco Giampaolo also criticising the officials, more specifically referee Marco Guida.
“The refereeing was outrageous,” Tonelli fumed, speaking to Lady Radio.

“Apart from the goals, there was a last-man foul on [Vincent] Laurini. If this is the standard of refereeing it’s outrageous.
“Obviously it’s not an excuse for the defeat, but it affected the game.”
