The latest video of Sandro Tonali visiting Newcastle’s training centre has sparked an unusual debate between Newcastle and Milan fans on which club has the bigger gym.
Newcastle published the video of their new signing visiting the club’s training centre alongside his girlfriend Giulia Pastore over the weekend and a detail has captured the fans’ attention.
Mrs Tonali looked impressed by Newcastle’s gym and asked his partner if the one in Milan was as big.
Tonali apparently replied that Milan’s gym was bigger, but the response wasn’t 100% clear and has been interpreted in different ways by fans of the two clubs on Twitter.
In a rather unusual debate, supporters of the Rossoneri and the Magpies have been arguing about who has the bigger gym.
Tonali, a die-hard Milan fan, recently said that leaving the Rossoneri was the ‘most difficult decision’ in his career. His body language upon arriving in Newcastle last week left doubts on whether he wanted to sign for the Premier League side.
However, in his first interview with his new club, Tonali said:
“First of all, I want to thank Newcastle United because they are giving me a huge opportunity for my career.
“I want to repay the trust on the pitch, giving it my all, as I always have. I’m really excited about playing at St. James’ Park, I can’t wait to feel the warmth of the fans.”
