Tonali, Calabria and Rebic: Milan injury update ahead of Empoli clash

The international break has allowed Milan to recover a few players ahead of their next game against Empoli, although a number of others are still unavailable.

The Rossoneri currently sit three points behind league leaders Napoli and Atalanta after their 2-1 loss to the former ahead of the international break, so they’ll be hoping to pick up a strong win over Empoli this weekend as they look to kick off this busy six-week period in a strong fashion.

As highlighted by Calciomercato.com, Stefano Pioli can smile a little after today’s training session, with Sandro Tonali and Davide Calabria both being fit enough to train with the squad, putting them in contention for the game against Empoli.

Ante Rebic worked briefly with the squad before returning to an individual programme and he’ll be hoping to make an appearance against the Tuscan side on the weekend.

Divock Origi continued training separately and he’ll certainly be absent for the match, although he could sit with his teammates on the bench.

Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan continued their recovery at Milanello and are still far from returning, with both set to miss a number of games across the next month.
