Beppe Riso, the agent of Italy international and Newcastle United midfielder Sandro Tonali, has effectively ruled out the possibility of a return to Serie A in the summer, as he feels that even the top clubs in Italy will be priced out of a transfer during the next transfer window.
Tonali raised eye-brows when he swapped Milan for Newcastle in the summer of 2023, and despite a year-long suspension last season, is beginning to establish himself as a fan favourite at St. James’ Park this term.
There have been suggestions of a possible return to Milan in the summer, while some reports in the January transfer window suggested that Juventus were interested in a potential deal for the 24-year-old, which did not materialise.
However, Riso has practically ruled out the possibility of Tonali returning to Serie A for next season.
Tonali agent rules out Serie A return

“He is one of the best midfielders in the world, he has a price Italian clubs will hardly be able to pay. I imagine a career for him far away from Serie A,” he said, reported via Fabrizio Romano.
Newcastle paid a fee in the region of €70m to bring Tonali from Milan to the North-East of England, and he is currently tied to a contract that runs until the summer of 2028.

His wage is pretty low and New Castle can’t afford high wage either
