Milan defender Fikayo Tomori is suspended for the Derby della Madonnina showdown with Inter, while clubs including Napoli, Juventus and Roma were fined and an investigation is opened into Lazio supporters.

Tomori was sent off during Milan’s 2-1 victory away to Roma after receiving a second yellow card and has therefore been given a standard one-match ban.

The next game in the Serie A fixture list is a top of the table clash with Inter, so Tomori must watch that from the stands.

The disciplinary commission also inflicted several fines after the weekend’s matches for supporters throwing fireworks and plastic bottles onto the pitch, or in some cases into the section of the stands containing opposition fans.

Lecce and Salernitana were fined €12,000, Lazio €10,000, Napoli €8,000, Juventus €3,000, Roma €2,000, Bologna and Cagliari €1,500.

There is also a statement regarding the incidents of racist and territorial discrimination chanting from Lazio fans during the 2-1 win away to Napoli.

There were only 983 visiting fans in the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona, but the chants were still ‘audible from the pitch and in some cases made by the totality of the group’ in the away section.

Further investigation is ordered to identify the supporters and see if they are among those who regularly frequent the Stadio Olimpico.
