Milan are preparing a contract extension for their star defender Fikayo Tomori, sources tell Football Italia.

The former Chelsea defender has had an impressive season at the Stadio Meazza, which ended with the Diavoli’s first Serie A title in 11 years. Club directors are more than happy with his performances and are therefore preparing a contract extension until 2027, according to Football Italia sources.

Tomori, 24, joined Milan on an initial loan deal from Chelsea in January 2021 and the Diavoli made his move permanent six months later. His current deal at San Siro runs out in June 2025, but the Rossoneri are already working on a new deal with a pay rise.

Tomori is on a €2m-a-year deal at the Stadio Meazza and the Serie A giants want to reward him with a higher salary.

The former Chelsea defender has played 62 games with the Rossoneri, scoring two goals. He has received a call-up to the England national team for the upcoming Nations League matches, including one against Roberto Mancini’s Italy.
