Milan defender Fikayo Tomori has returned to training with the rest of the group and gives coach Stefano Pioli a boost ahead of Wednesday’s match against Genoa.

The Rossoneri need to fix a leaky defence after seven goals conceded in the last two games and Pioli has been given good news in training today.

The English defender, who arrived on a permanent deal from Chelsea over the summer, has struggled with a hip injury in recent weeks.

The 23-year-old had played all 12 unbeaten games, but was missing in both defeats against Fiorentina and Sassuolo in Serie A.

MilanNews believes he should be back in action this week, and Pioli has thus been given a boost ahead of their trip to Liguria this week, with Tomori seemingly set to return to the line-up.

Tomori has played 16 competitive games this term and has helped Milan keep four clean sheets in the league this term.
