Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly in advanced talks to sign Takehiro Tomiyasu from Bologna who will replace the 22-year-old with Kevin Bonifazi.

Both Tottenham and Atalanta want the Japan international, but according to Sky Sport Italia, the Premier League giants have jumped to the front of the queue to sign the 22-year-old.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Spurs have offered €15m plus €3m add-ons to Bologna and although the deal is not done yet, the two parties are reportedly very close to reaching an agreement.

The Rossoblu want to sell the player for €20m, so the gap between the offer and the demand is not too big.

Milan opened talks to sign the 22-year-old last summer, but failed to reach an agreement with Bologna.

Atalanta may need to look elsewhere to strengthen their defensive department as Fabio Paratici is close to sealing his first signing since his appointment as Tottenham managing director.

Bologna have already signed Tomiyasu’s potential replacement as Kevin Bonifazi will undergo his medicals with the Rossoblu ahead of a permanent €6.5m move from SPAL.
