Dusan Vlahovic has had a decent start with Juventus but now it’s time for him to prove his chops for club and country as the Derby d’Italia and the World Cup approach.

The 22-year-old Serbian forward has netted five goals and provided two assists in his first 11 Bianconeri appearances following the €80m move over from Fiorentina in January, looking to be the real deal for the Old Lady. Contracted to the club until 2026, it’s clear that he’s expected to be their star man in their quest to return to the top.

So far, Vlahovic has not faced an excessively difficult opponent whilst wearing a Juventus shirt, with the most difficult adversaries being Villarreal and Atalanta. Tonight’s Derby d’Italia will be Paulo Dybala’s last for the Bianconeri and the first for the Serbian forward, making it the perfect opportunity for him to stamp his authority at the Allianz Stadium.

Vlahovic is also one of Serbia’s main players in their bid to escape Group G at the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, a group which also includes Brazil, Switzerland and Cameroon. Driving the team to the knockout stages of the competition would further prove that he is one of the most dangerous forwards in the world, making him a real star.
