Roma director Tiago Pinto acknowledges Genoa would want to impress their new coach Andriy Shevchenko: ‘But we also want to fight and win.’

The Giallorossi visit Genoa in Shevchenko’s Serie A debut as a coach.

‘We always try to use the break to recover energies and some injured players. Unfortunately, there was bad news from national teams in the last couple of days,” Tiago Pinto told DAZN before the match.

“We are motivated and we want to win today. Both teams have absentees. Shevchenko’s arrival is important for Genoa and Serie A.

“It will be a challenging game, as it always happens here in Genoa. We know about it. They want to impress their new coach, but we also want to fight and win.”
