Tiago Pinto is attending his final game as Roma director of sport, but did not speak to the media because he was ‘dealing with some complicated’ transfer negotiations.

That match against Salernitana kicks off at the Stadio Arechi at 19.45 GMT.

Daniele De Rossi oversaw a 2-1 victory over Verona on his debut after taking over from sacked Jose Mourinho.

Tiago Pinto announced several weeks ago that he would be leaving the club as soon as the January transfer window came to a close, which is on the evening of February 1.

He usually speaks to DAZN before any match, but this time around the reporters noted he would not be available because he was ‘dealing with some complicated’ transfer talks.

Angeliño had his medical today for a loan with option to buy from RB Leipzig, via Galatasaray, at a cost of €5m.

However, he cannot be signed until Roma have first found new clubs for at least one of two players, believed to be Andrea Belotti and Marash Kumbulla.

It seems as if Tiago Pinto will be in the stands at the Stadio Arechi, but also largely glued to his smartphone as talks continue with different clubs to find them a solution.

Belotti is on the list for Fiorentina, Cagliari, Salernitana, Como, Empoli and Real Betis.

Kumbulla has been linked with Torino, Cagliari, Genoa and his old club Verona.
