Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Marcus Thuram has signed his five-year contract with Inter after successfully completing his medicals.

The 25-year-old Frenchman chose to leave Borussia Monchengladbach on a free transfer, ending a four-year spell with the Bundesliga outfit. He impressed in Germany, scoring 44 goals and providing 29 assists across 134 games for the club.

Thuram was wanted by both Paris Saint-Germain and Milan but ultimately chose to join Inter, who have been working on a deal for him since the World Cup in Qatar. He arrived in the Lombardy capital today to undergo the usual pre-transfer medicals.

Di Marzio reported this evening that Thuram has successfully passed these medicals and now put pen to paper on his five-year contract, which is reportedly worth around €6m net per season.

The only thing missing now is the official announcement, which is expected to arrive imminently. His arrival will significantly bolster the Nerazzurri attack, which lost Edin Dzeko to Fenerbahce this month.
