Juventus won the traditional game against their Next Gen side 4-0, including a wonderful Khephren Thuram goal, but there was tension with jeers against Manuel Locatelli.

The Bianconeri always have a pre-season match against the youth side, but while it is usually at the training ground, this time it was held at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in front of 40,000 fans.

Coach Thiago Motta again left out the players who are not part of the project, including Federico Chiesa, Wojciech Szczesny, Arkadiusz Milik and Weston McKennie.

It only lasted an hour, with two 30-minute halves and the first Douglas Luiz start, but even then the crowd was somewhat irritated at the slow tempo and there were jeers in even the opening minutes.

They quietened down when Danilo opened the scoring, followed four minutes later by Timothy Weah’s solo effort.

There were moments of real tension when a section of the fans loudly jeered at midfielder Locatelli, though the rest of the crowd responded with applause.

After the restart, Kenan Yildiz scored from the edge of the area on a Douglas Luiz corner kick, then Thuram impressed with a spectacular lob from distance.
