Inter have been left concerned about the condition of Marcus Thuram following his injury in their Champions League win over Atletico Madrid.

The Nerazzurri edged out a key 1-0 victory over Diego Simeone’s side in the first leg of their Champions League Round of 16 clash on Wednesday evening, taking the win after a 79th minute goal from Marko Arnautovic.

Thuram started the match for Inter at San Siro but was forced off the pitch at half time after clearly suffering from a problem with his right leg in the closing stages of the first half. He was replaced by Arnautovic and was seen looking frustrated on the bench.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Thuram will undergo a round of medical tests on Thursday to examine the extent of his injury, which appears to be a contracture in the adductor of his right leg, a fairly minor issue.

The Nerazzurri are hoping to recover the French striker for the return leg against Atletico on March 13th in Madrid, but in the meantime, he is at risk of missing out on the Serie A matches with Lecce on February 25, Atalanta on February 28, Genoa on March 4 and Bologna on March 10.
