Moise Kean trained separately at Coverciano today while Luciano Spalletti divided the group into two and one team had Mattia Zaccagni and Giacomo Raspadori in attack.

Italy trained at Coverciano on Tuesday afternoon following press conferences of Caleb Okoli and Marco Brescianini.

Football Italia was among the accredited media and here’s what we spotted during the opening 15 minutes of the training sessions, which were open to the press.

Kean

Outfield players warmed up with a one-touch rondo, but Moise Kean was not involved as he worked separately with a Spalletti staff member. The Fiorentina striker often stretched his right leg, and although he had not sustained any severe injury, he trained separately from the rest of the team as a precaution.

Goalkeepers

The players looked in a good mood at the training ground. The three goalkeepers, Gigio Donnarumma, Guglielmo Vicario, and Alex Meret, warmed up separately from outfield players with specific goalkeeping drills and shots on target.

Teams

Right before the end of the 15 minutes open to the media, Spalletti tried some corner-kick tactics, dividing the team into two. The players who wore yellow bibs were Gatti, Calafiori, Buongiorno, Cambiaso, Brescianini, Fagioli, Frattesi, Dimarco, Zaccagni, and Raspadori. This doesn’t mean they’ll be the starting players against France on Friday, but it suggests that Spalletti tried a 3-5-2 or a 3-4-2-1 formation during the rest of the training session, which continued behind closed doors.

Italy will train again tomorrow behind closed doors, while the first 15 minutes of the Thursday training session will be open to the media before the Azzurri’s trip to France.
