Three Serie A sides in top 20 revenues of 2021-22 season

The Deloitte Football Money League has revealed that three Serie A sides have made the cut for the top 20 clubs by revenue for the 2021-22 season.

The footballing world has started to recover following the COVID pandemic and the total revenue produced by the top 20 clubs for the 2021-22 season sat at €9.2 billion, a 13% increase to the €8.2 billion recorded for the previous season. Figures have started to return to the level seen before the pandemic, with a key element of this being the widespread return of fans.

Premier League clubs dominate Deloitte’s top 20 earners for the 2021-22 season, taking up 12 spots, including six in the top 10. Topping the list is Manchester City, who produced €731m in revenue, and just behind them is Real Madrid with €713.8m.

Three Italian clubs make the cut of the top 20, starting with Juventus in 11th place, earning €400.6m for the 2021-22 season. Behind them are Inter in 14th with €308.4m and Milan in 16th with €264.9m. The Bianconeri and Nerazzurri both suffered decreases compared to previous years, -8% and -7% respectively, whilst the Rossoneri found an increase of +22%.
