Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat is the last midfielder linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, but Fabio Paratici and Antonio Conte are monitoring other players in Serie A.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Spurs have opened preliminary talks to sign the 25-year-old in January.

Antonio Conte hopes to see Tanguy Ndombele leave North London soon, so Spurs need a new player in the middle of the park.

Amrabat joined Fiorentina in a €30m move from Hellas Verona in 2020 but has been struggling with playing time this season, collecting just 12 appearances under Vincenzo Italiano.

Roma‘s Jordan Veretout has also been linked with a move to Tottenham in January or at the end of the season.

The France international is not unsellable and José Mourinho would be open to selling the former Fiorentina man and replace him with Granit Xhaka.

Both deals are more likely to be finalised at the end of the season, but Roma could change their mind with a big-money offer during the last week of negotiations in the January transfer window.

According to multiple reports, Spurs are also interested in Juventus‘ Weston McKennie. Paratici is an admirer of the former Schalke man and brought him to Turin in 2020.

The 23-year-old was on Juventus’ transfer list a few months ago but has climbed Max Allegri’s pecking order becoming a regular starter, so the Bianconeri are not considering selling him in January.
