Paulo Dybala and Federico Cherubini believe Juventus can win the Serie A title and La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights three reasons why the Bianconeri’s feat is feasible.

The Bianconeri had a rough start to the season, with just two points in the first four games. However, nobody in Serie A has collected more points than them in the following 23 matches and they are only second to Napoli for points gained in 2022 (18 to 16).

“We have to play against Inter in Turin and I believe in the title. There are still many games left,” Dybala said during an event in Milan yesterday.

“The coach says he doesn’t believe in it, but Juventus must always do it,” added Cherubini.

Although Massimiliano Allegri said that Juventus couldn’t reach the three teams on top of the table, the Bianconeri are now just seven points off Milan and Napoli and will be hoping to close the gap with at least one of them over the weekend.

Juventus will host Spezia at the Allianz Stadium on Sunday, while Milan and Napoli meet at the Stadio Maradona. Juventus are unbeaten in the last 13 Serie A games and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, their ‘favourable’ fixture list is one of the reasons why the Old Lady can believe in the title.

On paper, the most difficult games left for Juventus are against Inter (at home, week 31), Lazio (at home) and Fiorentina (away) in the last two games of the season. Most of the remaining opponents sit in the second part of the table, which, however, does not guarantee success as Juventus have sometimes been struggling against the so-called ‘smaller teams’ this season.

The second reason is their defensive solidity. Despite the many injuries in the defensive department, Juventus have conceded just five goals in the last six Serie A games, including two against Empoli last week. Matthijs de Ligt is the undisputed defensive leader and only Real Madrid (8) have collected fewer goals than Juventus (10) since the start of November.

The third reason is probably the most obvious and is their January signing Dusan Vlahovic. The 22-year-old has scored four goals in his first seven appearances with the Old Lady. He has transformed the Bianconeri, who now look dangerous every time they attack. Juventus don’t play spectacular football and should provide better service to Vlahovic, but the ex-Fiorentina striker is a lethal finisher who has totally revolutionised the Bianconeri’s attacking department. Will it be enough to win the title?

  1. 4 reasons:

Napoli are bottlers, and have a weak bench.
Milan play pretty poor football, and drop points to the lesser teams.
Inter are out of form and have a lot of average players on the bench
    Atalanta can’t defend

1 reason not to believe – Allegri loves a 0 – 0 draw, and Juve’s football is pretty bad too.

  2. Allegri seems more content with a top four finish, valhovic is always isolated n can’t win the aerial dual.soon teams will figure out how to win against them by stopping valhovic as he is the one they always seem to aim for.just wish things will be better when chiesa returns coz can’t see this team make progress with this defensive tactics.

  3. Juventus need to keep Dybala who along with Chiesa are the only creative players to support Vlahovic.
Furthermore another fast winger must be bought.

  4. They need to get 7-8 points more than all of Napoli, Milan and inter out of the remaining 33 points there is to play for.

It’s not impossible considering how much the above 3 are choking, but rube can’t make many mistakes. They will atleast need 28/33 points in the remaining 11 games to have a real chance, probably 30/33.
