Inter owners Oaktree Capital Management, who took control of the club in May, have three non-sporting objectives mapped out ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, which include plans for a new B team, plans to resolve the stadium saga and plans to balance the club’s accounts.

Inter plans for new stadium, B team and balanced budget

According to reports from Calciomercato.com, Inter hope to have their accounts fully balanced by the end of the 2024-25 campaign, specifically by June 2025.

The club’s most senior officials will sit down for a shareholders’ meeting in November, where they will finalise a new budget, which is likely to come with a capital increase, according to Sunday’s reports.

Inter are also hoping to launch their own, newly-branded U23 team to rival Juventus’ Next Gen side, as well as Milan Futuro and Atalanta‘s U23s.

“The second team is a tool that the federal system has made available,” President Beppe Marotta said on the matter. “I was at Juventus when the B team was launched. At Inter, we have to be careful so that this project can take off, but we have some structural shortcomings.

“We will work with the new ownership to fill them and then hopefully we will finally be able to launch it.”

Inter hope to have their structural issues resolved in time for the 2025-26 season.

Nerazzurri representatives are also due to sit down in the coming weeks to re-evaluate their options surrounding a potential new stadium.

They will meet with the WeBuild for San Siro group to explore the possibilities around staying put in their current set-up, but the club also have exclusive rights to land in Rozzano, which has recently been extended.

  1. Build our own stadium, mid-size stadium would be good for a start. No sharing with Milan tho it’s a new private stadium. Time to leave Giuseppe Meazza.
