Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi has received a three-match ban for his reaction foul against Genoa.

The forward was sent off for kicking up into the crotch of Cristian Ansaldi in Sunday’s 2-1 Grifone victory.

Diego Perotti also saw red for rushing over to confront Berardi, but he only went forehead-to-forehead with him and therefore is given a one-match ban.

Diego Perotti also saw red for rushing over to confront Berardi, but he only went forehead-to-forehead with him and therefore is given a one-match ban.

Berardi is not new to such behaviour and Sassuolo Coach Eusebio Di Francesco confessed his disciplinary record “is becoming a problem.”

He has been sent off on three occasions (all straight reds) and booked 27 times in 71 Serie A games. The forward has received more cards than anyone else over the last three seasons.

Also suspended for one round by the Disciplinary Commission is Sampdoria defender Ervin Zukanovic, plus Mattia Destro (Bologna) and Santiago Gentiletti (Lazio) for totting up yellow cards.

Hellas Verona have been fined €20,000 for "territorial discrimination" chants aimed at Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne.
