Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has identified three players who can be sold this summer to help generate the necessary resources for the club’s transfer targets.

The Nerazzurri have a recent history of selling players to help them buy in the summer, like when Romelu Lukaku and Achraf Hakimi were sold off back in 2021 or the departures of Andre Onana and Marcelo Brozovic last year, but things are different this summer.

Inter’s increasing financial health and their participation in the upcoming Champions League and Club World Cup have strengthened their position ahead of the summer, allowing them to retain their stars whilst also looking to bolster the squad.

Three Inter sales

Page four of today’s Gazzetta dello Sport details how Marotta has identified three players to sell to help generate resources for a new goalkeeper, a backup right wing back and a fourth-choice striker.

The top sale will likely be Valentin Carboni, who impressed whilst on loan with Monza this term. He has a circa €30m price tag, a little above the €20m offer proposed by Fiorentina in January.

The next player on the list is Marko Arnautovic, who has attracted some attention from Saudi Arabia and could leave for around €5m. Joaquin Correa will also be sold following his return from Olympique Marseille, with River Plate and Estudiantes both interested in a deal.
